What is wrong with muslim developers?

Short answer: they don’t connect.

Happy to see that I am not the only one thinking that muslim developers should connect and make something together for the benefits of the ummah. Some have started for example the quran.com project and the likes.

I really think in order to connect muslim developers, there should be some projects that could lead the conversation started. Yeah, instead of using communication to make project keeps going, we can actually use project to make communication keeps going in the muslim developers community.

Who agrees? Let’s connect and make something.

There are a lot of digital products can be made for muslim communities. Those can’t be made by non-muslims of course. The question is why are we not doing something to make them?

When I started masjeed project and hiring muslim developers to join in a very low pay because of limited budget. I was getting some messages from them that sounds the same, “You know, this is an awesome project that I as a muslim will be happy to work on that I have been waiting for! But, can you please increase the pay so that I can live a life while contributing…
